PUL Announces 2015 Awards Application









(Monrovia, April 13, 2015)  The Press Union of Liberia announces call for entries for its annual awards program, intended to recognize and honor the work of journalists and media institutions that perform with distinction during the course of the last one year.

The competition will award over 15 prizes, as judged by a carefully selected panel of judges comprised of experienced and knowledgeable journalists, academics and other professionals.

The award is opened to all journalists, WHO ARE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF THE PUL, and covers the areas of radio, television, newspaper or internet. Journalists are encouraged to submit their entries between April 15 and May 4, 2015, as late applications will be disqualified.

The Awards Committee will distribute Entry forms for the Institutional and the Journalist of the Year Awards to be filled out, sealed up by media houses and submitted to the Union.

Awards will be presented for the best work in each category during the PUL’s Annual Award Night on Saturday, May 29, 2015 at an illustrious event in Monrovia, which climaxes the 2015 World Press Freedom Day celebrations.
